For my daughter’s 4th birthday we did a “Four on the Ocean Floor” themed party. I included my Amazon affiliate links for the items used throughout (commission based). This was probably one of my favorite DIY parties I’ve done, we had a lot of fun with the ocean theme and iridescent colors.
I DIY’d the mermaid tail number 4 with some cardboard taped together and these circle cutouts for the scales.

We did so many mermaid themed crafts. One was these “decorate a mermaid crown” made of colorful felt cut into crown shapes and 1 – 1 1/2 inch ribbon that I hot glued onto the backside of the crown. The kids decorated the crowns with sticker jewels and glitter sea animal foam stickers.

Our next craft was “Paint a mermaid house” with these mini wooden birdhouses and paint palettes

We had a “Mermaid hair don’t care” table with colorful hair extensions and rainbow hair tinsel. The girls LOVED playing with these!

We also had a “Make a sea glass bracelet” with colorful pipe cleaners and beads

For the main room, I decorated the walls with green paper streamers for the seaweed look, and used clear balloons and balloon tape for the bubbles. The 30 inch mermaid balloon and blue paper streamers for the underwater effect and I made pom pom ball and paper chain link streamers. The long iridescent mermaid scale table runner added a fun glittery effect.

We did some really cute mermaid gift bags for the kids (ages from 2-5). I used these colorful beach jelly bags that came with kids sunglasses and filled them with sequin slap bracelets, beach balls, play doh, pearl necklaces and bubbles.

Dinglehopper cake pops! And other fun mermaid / ocean themed party snacks. Sand dollar cookies, coral rock candy, seaweed dip, shark fin chips, mermaid mimosas with iridescent edible glitter

This iridescent door streamer gave such a pretty underwater effect in the sunlight
